![]() CONDITION: blade shows light overall use w/ much original factory polish. Black enameled scabbard w/ integral leather frog. Blade is marked "C.E." w/ back to back squirrels. These difficult to find knives are often referred to as WWI private purchase trench knives, however they are cut for use as a bayonet. Scabbard has a few shallow dents on the tip & some oxidation to the anodized finish. Entire hilt including knot shows very light wear. CONDITION: blade shows only scabbard wear. Correct hanger is stamped "RZM L2/371/39" on the leather & is marked "M5/25RZM" on the clip. Scabbard has nickel silver mounts on a brown anodized body. Wood grip w/ inset enamel SA button & Party eagle. Nickel silver cross guards w/ "Wf" stamped in the lower guard. Blade is etched "Alles fur Deutschland" & is marked "CARL SCHMIDT SOHN A.-G. separation to the black leather covering. Scabbard has a separation internally at the midpoint of the tinned iron liner causing a sm. Silver hilt has a bright finish w/ tarnish in the recessed areas. ![]() CONDITION: blade has a light gray, slightly mottled cleaned finish. Throat is engraved "LOXHAMS, Royal Exchange" on 1 side & has repousse musical instruments on the other. Throat is silver w/ attached suspension ring. Scabbard appears to be 2 piece tinned iron w/ a fine black leather covering. Pommel is hollow & intricately decorated w/ musical instruments. Grip is solid silver in a simulated braided wire wrap form. These marks denote that the hilt was made by John Radburn of sterling silver in London during the year 1764. Knuckle bow is stamped near the pommel w/ "I(pellet)R", lion passant, crowned leopard & script "I". Guard is stamped at the ricasso "I.R" along w/ a lion passant. An exceptional solid silver hilt that is decorated throughout w/ musical instrument & a knotted motif. Colichemarde style blade has engraving extending 6" up from the hilt. There are a few shallow dents to the scabbard concentrated near the tip. Mounts & scabbard retain about 60% of their gilded finish. CONDITION: blade has a cleaned light gray finish. Gilded brass scabbard has the usual engraved lightning bolt motifs & also has the name "Bucher" engraved on the reverse of the throat. Gilded brass crossguard has a central anchor motif w/ a push button release. Blade has a cleaned light gray finish w/ light etching over 2/3 of its length. Blade marked w/ a knight's head for the WKC Company. A fine early example of a WWI era Imperial Naval officer's dagger. Only traces of this post WWII dagger's gilded finish remain. CONDITION: blade has scattered areas of discoloration but does show some original factory polish. Scabbard is engraved gilded brass w/ 2 suspension bands & rings. Gilded brass pommel & police insignia attached to the wire wrapped leather grip. Gilded brass crossguard features a central anchor on each side & a push button release. ![]() Blade is etched over 2/3 of its length w/ various naval & foliate motifs. Blade marked "(puma head) PUMA SOLINGEN". This post WWII dagger has an overall length of 16". Hangers show oxidation to the metal fittings but only slight wear to the hanging straps. Hilt, grip & scabbard show light wear to the plating & expected tarnish. CONDITION: blade has areas of discoloration coupled w/ factory polish. Complete w/ railroad hangers featuring silver bullion on a black field. Grip is black composite material w/ a correct style railroad knot attached. Silver plated crossguard w/ winged train wheel & plated pommel w/ mobile swastika. Blade marked "ORIGINAL (squirrel) Eickhorn SOLINGEN". This post WWII dagger has an overall length of 15 3/4". Tsuka shows light to moderate wear w/ no losses. Tsuba, fuchi & kashira have a similar dark iron patina. nicks & shows evidence of improper sharpening. CONDITION: blade has been cleaned & shows light cleaned pitting primarily near the tip. A braided leather sword hanger is attached to a single brass mounting ring on the saya. Saya is wood w/ a red brown leather covering in the WWII style featuring 3 snaps at the top. Characters are believed to indicate that the sword was made by Taira Shizunari of the Takada School working in the Bungo province in the year 1565 AD. Nakago features Japanese characters on both sides. There is a single brass seppa below the tsuba w/ a partial leather seppa added. This is a very interesting WWII used katana featuring a blade w/ nearly 4 centuries of ancestral use.
